Support Work

Practical support to build independence, confidence and connection.

What it is

Our support workers provide one-on-one support at home and in the community. This can include building daily living skills, managing household tasks, attending appointments, accessing the community, and working towards goals such as study, work, health and wellbeing.

Who is it for

People living with mental health challenges and disability who would benefit from regular, consistent support to build skills, increase independence and participate in everyday life.

How it Works

❋ Getting to know the person

We spend time with the person and those in their life to understand their strengths, interests, routines and goals.

❋ Matching the right support

We match the person with support workers based on their needs, interests and personality, not just availability.

❋ Planning together

We work with the person and their support network to agree on goals and how support will be delivered.

Our support workers provide consistent, reliable support, guided by the person's goals and preferences.

❋ Ongoing support

❋ Reviewing progress

We regularly review how support is going, acknowledge progress and adjust as needs and goals change.

Our Approach

❋ Supportive Relationships

We build strong, respectful relationships and supportive environments, which are the foundation of everything we do.

❋ Consistency

We keep support teams as consistent as possible, so people can build trust with workers who know them well.

❋ Building independence

We support people to do things for themselves, building practical skills and confidence that last.

❋ Connection and community

We help people stay connected with family, friends and their community, and try new things along the way.

❋ Person at the centre

The person's voice, choices and goals guide how support is delivered, every step of the way.

Our Team

Our support workers bring experience across mental health and disability, and many have lived experience or are studying in related fields. They are guided by Lead Support Workers and supported by regular supervision, training and reflective practice, so every person receives consistent, high-quality support.
