Our commitment to child safety.
At Support Studio, every child and young person we support has the right to feel safe, respected and heard. We have zero tolerance for abuse, neglect or harm of any kind.
Collectively, we have spent decades working alongside young people in various organisations. We know that safety comes from more than policies. It comes from relationships, from listening, and from people who act when something doesn't feel right.
What we do to keep children safe:
We carefully screen everyone who works with us, including Working with Children Checks, blue cards and NDIS Worker Screening Checks.
Every worker is trained in child safety and signs our Code of Conduct.
We involve children, young people and their families in decisions about their support, in ways that suit how each person communicates.
We respect and celebrate diversity, and we are committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
We pay close attention to the needs of children with disability, who can face extra barriers to being heard.
We take every concern seriously, act quickly, and report to the right authorities.
We regularly review how we are doing and make improvements.
We follow the Child Safe Standards in every state and territory, and the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
