Group Based Activities

Connect with others, try new things and build skills together.

What it is

Our group programs bring people together to socialise, learn and take part in activities they enjoy. Run by our experienced support workers, groups offer a relaxed, supportive way to build friendships, develop everyday skills and get more involved in the community.

Who is it for

People living with mental health challenges and disability who would enjoy spending time with others, trying new activities and building connections in a supportive group setting.

How it Works

❋ Getting to know the person

We learn about the person’s interests, goals and what they would like to get out of a group.

❋ Finding the right group

We help the person choose a group that suits their interests, personality and support needs.

❋ Planning together

Our support workers help the person feel welcome and comfortable as they join in.

The person joins regular sessions, building friendships and skills alongside others.

❋ Settling in

❋ Reviewing progress

We check in regularly to make sure the group is still a good fit and supporting the person’s goals.

Our Approach

❋ Supportive Relationships

We build strong, respectful relationships and supportive environments, which are the foundation of everything we do.

❋ Connection and belonging

Groups are designed to help people build friendships and feel part of a community.

❋ Something for everyone

Activities reflect participants’ interests, from creative and social activities to outdoor and skill-building programs.

❋ Building skills together

Groups offer practical opportunities to develop everyday, social and independent living skills.

❋ Getting more from support

Group programs offer a shared, social way to use support, helping NDIS funding go further.

Our Team

Our support workers bring experience across mental health and disability, and many have lived experience or are studying in related fields. They are guided by Lead Support Workers and supported by regular supervision, training and reflective practice, so every person receives consistent, high-quality support.
